Hi! My name is Dobby. I am about 6 months old and we think my parents were probably a chihuahua and pug. I am one of the most loyal, loving pups you’ll ever meet, hence the namesake of Dobby from Harry Potter. I had a rough beginning with someone leaving me to fend for myself next to Valley Charter Independent School around Thanksgiving. Neighbors saw and tried to help me – they gave me food and water, but couldn’t catch me for days. I was waiting for my family to return for me and didn’t want to be gone when they did. However, my family never came and so some nice people down the street found me and I have been living the good life ever since. I am learning to trust people again and have lots of love to give. Although I am just a puppy, I am not super-energetic. I like to play for a few minutes and then want to be near you or curl up with you. One of my favorite things is to watch TV with you. I also love playing with toys, but don’t tear them up and I don’t chew on things. I am getting the hang of going potty outside, but am not perfect about it. I am really smart too! I am learning to sit and stay. If I choose you to be my furever family, I need you to know that you are really big and I am really small and that causes me to be nervous when you have big fast movements. You will need to be gentle and patient with me, but then I will love you like no one else. can. I will be the most loyal companion you will ever meet.
